Valencia airport continues to strengthen its position as a key gateway for MICE travelers visiting Spain. With new routes to major European destinations, the airport offers enhanced connectivity for international business travelers seeking seamless journeys to and from the Mediterranean. The upcoming summer season brings fresh opportunities to connect Valencia with northern and eastern Europe, ideal for both corporate groups and incentive travelers.
One of the major changes is the connectivity to the north of Europe, specifically with Scandinavia.
On the one hand, starting May 2025 through October, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will launch direct flights from Valencia airport to Copenhagen, Denmark twice a week starting May through October. The Scandinavian company Norwegian also returned last year to fly to Valencia after fifteen years, with two weekly frequencies from April to October. These two additions mean Valencia will now be connected to Denmark three times a week from April to October, which is perfect for groups who want to stay 3 or 4 nights in Valencia.
On the other hand, Norwegian announced two new routes from the Valencia region to Norway during 2025, one of them will depart from Valencia aerodrome to Oslo, while another will depart from Alicante.
From late May to September, PLAY Airlines will also provide direct flights to Reykjavik, Iceland. And for the first time, Valencia airport will be directly connected to Vilnius, Lithuania via AirBaltic. This twice-weekly service from April to September.
With these expanded connections, Valencia Airport becomes an even more attractive entry point for MICE travelers. Its convenient location, growing route network, and proximity to world-class venues make it an ideal choice for hosting international meetings, conferences, and incentive programs in Spain.
